Dr Isabel Schestak
Isabel holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences and brings eight years of experience in environmental sustainability assessment using LCA, six of which in the water-energy area, having worked with industry partners from breweries or distilleries, for instance. During her Master degree, she collaborated with companies in the cosmetics and personal care industry on the development of novel biodegradable ingredients. She is experienced in research communication through participation in international conferences and as guest lecturer in Environmental Management at Bangor University, Wales.
For commercial kitchens in the catering and food service sector, Isabel has developed a tool to estimate energy, emission and cost savings from the recovery of heat from kitchen drains. Isabel provides guidance and training of the tool, which facilitates interested kitchen managers to understand the suitability and potential benefits of heat recovery in their own restaurant, pub, café or canteen. Isabel also offers a carbon footprint or full Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of water related processes in your business.
